Summer Reading List

Check out this selection of great books on my kids summer reading list. A great way to inspire your children to read is to get them the books on the list for their age group, or let them pick books.

Every summer I make a reading start chart. For each book you finish you get a star, for older kids they get a start by chapter.

Once you have 5 stars you get to choose rewards. Some ideas for rewards are: pick a movie for family movie night, ice cream cones at favorite ice cream shop, pick a family day trip, have a sleepover party, camp out in the backyard, book store gift card, toy store gift card. etc.
