Oatmeal Bar


This is a favorite around here, the whole concept of DIY meals, I provide the basis (oatmeal for this one) and I fill mini bowls with various toppings.

Oatmeal is economical and healthy, dressing it up with toppings, and giving your kids choices makes it an appealing breakfast.

I use recipe prep bowls with tops so I can store leftovers easily.

Here are some of our favorite toppings:

- mini chocolate chips

- walnuts, pecans, almonds

- real maple syrup

- raisins

- dried cranberries

- dried apricots

- diced dates

- blueberries, raspberries, strawberries

- brown sugar

- applesauce

- pie filling

- ground flax

- diced apples

- diced peaches

- diced banana
