Watercolor Paint Recipes




Watercolor painting is always a popular hit with kids, they will love making it themselves!

Easy Drink Mix Watercolors

water various colors of unsweetened drink mix packets (you will get a few uses out of each packet) prep bowls paint brushes watercolor paper

Fill each bowl 3/4 of the way full. Add about 1/4 to 1/2 of your drink mix and stir until combined.


Watercolor Recipe

This yields 1/4 cup per color

Ingredients per color:

1 tablespoon vinegar

2 tablespoons baking soda 1 tablespoon corn starch

1/2 teaspoon glycerin 2 drops of food coloring of your choice

1 teaspoon water

Prep bowls with lids or old baby food jars

1. In each prep bowl, add the baking soda and vinegar. 2. Mix well.

3. When the baking soda mixture stops foaming, add the cornstarch and glycerin followed by the food coloring. 4. If needed add a little water until you reach the right consistency. Be sure to put the cover the leftover paint.
